COAS Asim Munir joins Christmas celebrations in Rawalpindi

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir visited St. Joseph’s Catholic Cathedral Church in Rawalpindi on Wednesday to celebrate Christmas with the Christian community.
According to a statement from the military’s media wing, the congregation warmly welcomed the COAS, expressing their appreciation for his presence and support during this significant occasion.
During the event, the army chief conveyed his sincere Christmas wishes to the Christian community throughout the country.
He underscored that Christmas is a significant reminder of the universal values of compassion, generosity, and goodwill—principles that unite our diverse society.
The top general also recognized the invaluable contributions of minorities and the Christian community to Pakistan’s cultural, social, economic, and national development, which serve as a source of pride and strength for the nation.
While visiting, General Asim Munir paid a respectful tribute to the founder of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
He noted that Quaid’s visionary leadership, unwavering resolve, and steadfast commitment to the principles of Faith, Unity, and Discipline not only facilitated the establishment of Pakistan but also provided a lasting framework for nation-building.
The COAS emphasized that Quaid-e-Azam’s enduring dedication to the ideals of freedom, equality, and religious tolerance continues to inspire and guide the nation in confronting contemporary challenges, from ensuring territorial integrity to promoting internal stability.
