Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir on Thursday demanded Israel to stop airstrikes on Rafah that have killed almost 45 Palestinians.
The top armyman put forward his demand during the 83rd Formation Commanders Conference at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
The meeting was attended by Corps Commanders, Principal Staff Officers, and all Formation Commanders of Pakistan Army.
The army chief's strong remarks came as Israel unleashed its latest attack on Rafah, killing and injuring dozens.
At least 41 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed, and dozens were injured after Israeli warplanes bombed tents housing people who had been displaced from other parts of the besieged strip over the past seven months.
The forum expressed complete solidarity with the people of Palestine, condemning serious human rights violations and war crimes being perpetrated in Gaza.
The forum also supported the International Court of Justice's (ICJ) decision to stop the Rafah operation and all other offensives within the Gaza Strip.
Israel has been committing war crimes in Gaza for almost seven months, in which thousands of Palestinians have been killed, wounded, and displaced due to the ongoing genocide.
According to Palestine's health ministry, at least 35,984 Palestinians have been killed and 80,643 injured in Israel's military offensive on Gaza since October 7.
