Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir on Thursday reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment to defending the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, warning that any military misadventure by India would be met with a swift and resolute response.
General Munir made these remarks while observing "Exercise Hammer Strike" at the Tilla Field Firing Ranges, a large-scale, high-intensity training exercise conducted by the Pakistan Army’s Mangla Strike Corps.
“Let there be no ambiguity: any military misadventure by India will be met with a swift, resolute, and notch-up response,” the army chief stated, as quoted by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
While underscoring Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, Gen Munir emphasised the nation’s absolute preparedness to safeguard its strategic interests.
He commended the participating troops for their high morale, professionalism, and warfighting capabilities, describing them as exemplary of the Pakistan Army’s operational excellence.
The exercise was designed to test battlefield readiness, operational integration, and combat synergy under realistic war-like conditions.
It featured advanced military assets including multirole fighter aircraft, combat aviation units, long-range precision artillery, and state-of-the-art field engineering systems.
