RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), Chief of Army Staff, presided over the 270th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at the General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.

The high-level military forum undertook a comprehensive review of the prevailing internal and external security environment, with a particular focus on the aftermath and achievements of Operation Bunyān-un-Marsoos, a key milestone in the nation’s defensive campaign, Marka-e-Haq.

The session commenced with Fateha for the martyrs of both Operation Bunyān-un-Marsoos and the tragic terrorist attack in Khuzdar, Balochistan, where India-sponsored proxies brutally claimed the lives of four innocent children and two adults.

The Forum strongly condemned the deliberate targeting of civilians, especially children, terming it a barbaric violation of international norms and humanitarian principles.

Tributes to National Heroes and Strategic Leadership

The Corps Commanders paid solemn homage to all martyrs of Marka-e-Haq, reiterating the sanctity of their sacrifice in the face of India’s unprovoked aggression. The Forum asserted that the blood of the Shuhada would not go in vain and emphasized that the security and dignity of the Pakistani people remains paramount.

The Forum extended congratulations to the Army Chief on his historic elevation to the rank of Field Marshal, acknowledging his unwavering strategic vision, resolute leadership, and tireless commitment to national security and military excellence.

Operational Assessment and Regional Threat Landscape

A detailed strategic review was presented on the success of Operation Bunyān-un-Marsoos, lauding the professionalism, synergy, and resilience displayed by Pakistan’s Armed Forces. The leadership also recognized the critical support of the Pakistani nation, which stood united in the face of external aggression.

The Forum appreciated the efforts of Pakistani media and information warriors who played a vital role in countering Indian disinformation campaigns, exposing fake narratives, and strengthening public morale.

Particular praise was directed toward the youth of Pakistan, whose patriotism and proactive engagement were highlighted as a driving force in sustaining national spirit and resilience during critical moments.

Condemnation of Indian State-Sponsored Terrorism

In-depth discussions were held on the increasing threat posed by Indian-backed terrorist proxies in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It was observed that India, following its military failures, has escalated its covert warfare by sponsoring non-state actors to destabilize Pakistan internally.

The Forum resolved that no compromise will be made on Pakistan’s internal peace. All terrorist proxies and their facilitators will be relentlessly pursued and eliminated through the full might of national resolve, in close coordination with intelligence and law enforcement agencies.

Eastern Border, LoC, and IIOJK Situation

The strategic overview also covered developments along the Line of Control (LoC), Working Boundary, and Eastern Border. Deep concern was expressed over continued human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). These violations, the Forum warned, are contributing to growing unrest and violence in the region.

The military leadership called for immediate international intervention to address the worsening humanitarian situation and reiterated unwavering diplomatic, political, moral, and humanitarian support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.

Commitment to Peace, Vigilance, and National Defence

In his concluding remarks, Field Marshal Asim Munir commended the high morale, preparedness, and professional excellence of all military formations. He stressed the importance of maintaining heightened vigilance against all evolving threats and reaffirmed the Army’s critical role in ensuring both internal stability and external defence.

“The people of Pakistan are our greatest strength. We remain steadfast in our commitment to their trust and expectations as we stand united in the defence of our homeland against aggression, terrorism, and extremism,” the Army Chief stated.

The Conference concluded with a unanimous reaffirmation of Pakistan’s unyielding resolve to protect its sovereignty and a clear declaration:

“No one can coerce Pakistan through threats or force. The nation will take every necessary measure to defend its vital national interests.”
