Drones banned in Islamabad for two months

The Islamabad administration has imposed a two-month ban on the flying of drones and quadcopters within the federal capital under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
According to an official notification, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has been banned due to security threats.
The ban exempts law enforcement agencies and the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration.
The District Magistrate said that drones could pose risks to sensitive installations and public safety. This immediate measure aims to maintain law and order, and any violations will be dealt with according to the law.

Earlier, the Islamabad district administration imposed a ban on the sale and use of pressure and toy horns ahead of Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations.
In a statement, the Deputy Commissioner said the ban would remain in effect throughout the festivities. He warned that strict legal action would be taken against anyone found violating the order.
