As trouble continues to besiege Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) following the May 9 saga, the tech-savvy political party remains consistently adept at utilising social media to navigate challenges more effectively than any other political party.

Facing the loss of the bat symbol due to the Supreme Court nullifying the Peshawar High Court's decision, PTI has employed creative methods to help voters recognise the various symbols now assigned to its candidates in the upcoming polls.

In anticipation of losing the bat symbol, PTI considered adopting the batman symbol. However, their splinter group 'PTI Nazriati' adopted it, leading to another setback.

PTI has established an online portal to assist voters in searching for candidates and their respective symbols.

In the aftermath of the Supreme Court's decision, PTI candidates will have to compete as independent candidates. Despite this, they are making efforts to be recognised by the public as affiliated with PTI in their election campaigns.

Although PTI lost its election symbol, it continues to be acknowledged as a political party by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

PTI's nominated candidates, set to participate in the elections as independent contenders, have been assigned various symbols. These symbols include dove, sickle, dolphin, cot, pillow, racket, pomegranate, aeroplane, kettle, wheelchair, fan, tea cup, wall clock, pressure cooker, goat, frying pan, and green chilli.

Ali Muhammad Khan and Muhammad Atif from Mardan secured the symbols 'dolphin' and 'sickle,' respectively. Asad Qaiser received 'wheelchair,' Shehram Tarakai was allotted 'dove,' Dr Amjid from Swat obtained 'kettle.' Shaukat Yousafzai from Shangla was assigned 'racket,' Kamran Bangash secured 'violin,' Taimur Saleem Jhagra received 'table,' and Mehmood Jan got 'wall clock,' among others.

In an effort to enhance the visibility of the candidates' symbols, diverse strategies are being adopted, including the use of scenes from movies and dramas, attention-grabbing memes, crafting catchy slogans, and producing emotionally-resonant songs featuring compelling visuals to entice sympathy among the public.

The ardent PTI supporters  are actively sharing videos and images from various constituencies where their candidates are contesting elections. Furthermore, social media teams are generating visuals to disseminate among people, helping in the identification of PTI's candidate symbols.

A video surfaced from Sargodha's NA-83 where PTI candidate Usama Maila will be participating in the elections with the symbol of a 'bowl.’

Alamgir Khan, the candidate for NA-236 in Karachi, assigned the symbol 'brinjal,' shared a video featuring a scene from a drama where a mother explains the advantages of brinjal.
