Journalist Azaz Syed claimed that the death of four Rangers personnel in a car-ramming incident during the PTI protest in Islamabad was caused by the grandson of an ex-bureaucrat, who has no ties to Imran Khan’s party.
“The accused driver has been identified as Hashim, the grandson of former federal secretary Zafeer Abbasi, who also served as an additional secretary in the interior ministry. He is a relative of former PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi,” Azaz Syed disclosed in his vlog.
He further stated that Hashim was reportedly arrested at the scene, and intelligence authorities visited his home to investigate whether he was affiliated with PTI. However, his family denied any connection to the party.
According to Syed, Hashim is not mentally stable and struggles with drug issues. He is currently undergoing psychological treatment, and it was reported that he took the car from his home in an “unusual” manner.
