Fawad Chaudhry slaps Shoaib Shaheen outside Adiala Jail

Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry slapped Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shoaib Shaheen during a scuffle near Gate No 5 of Adiala Jail on Saturday, according to local media reports.
The altercation reportedly began when Chaudhry referred to Shaheen as a "tout," sparking a heated exchange between the two. In response, Shaheen told Chaudhry to mind his own business, escalating tensions further.
The situation took a violent turn when Chaudhry reportedly slapped Shaheen, causing him to fall to the ground and sustain an injury to his arm.
Following the incident, Chaudhry proceeded into the jail while Shaheen was summoned inside by the Superintendent of Adiala Jail.
The altercation raised eyebrows within political circles and details regarding the circumstances leading to the confrontation.

Earlier, the police had arrested awad Chaudhry’s brother, Faisal Chaudhry for allegedly using abusive language toward an Adiala Jail officer.
The incident occurred a day earlier when Chaudhry had been denied permission to meet the former premier, who has been incarcerated since August 2023.
Sources had confirmed that police arrived at Adiala jail’s check post after Chaudhry attempted to enter the prison.
He had been arrested for using derogatory language against Assistant Superintendent Imran Riaz. Police stated that Chaudhry was formally arrested and shifted to the jail’s checkpost.
