WASHINGTON: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held talks with US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel on Monday regarding specialized training for countering terrorism financing, as the latter emphasized the importance of the “critical” collaboration between the two countries.
Naqvi arrived in the US on Thursday and following the latest round of interactions with regional and international officials during his recent visit to the country, the latest one has become even more important for Pakistan as the nation wants to maintain its dialogue channels between Tehran and Washington.
On Tuesday, Patel wrote on X that he had hosted Naqvi at FBI headquarters in Washington where they had “a very important discussion surrounding facilitating resources and specialized training to combat counterterrorism financing and cyber investigations both at home and abroad.”
Patel thanked Pakistan for its cooperation, which helped the US protect its interests in the region.
Hailing the bilateral ties between the two nations, Patel stated: “Our partnership is critical and we look forward to more success ahead.”
