Field Marshal Asim Munir, Jordan King Abdullah II discuss defense cooperation

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met Jordan’s King Abdullah II during his official visit to Jordan, where both leaders discussed matters of mutual interest.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Jordan’s Crown Prince Al-Hassan bin Abdullah II was also present at the meeting.

The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation in defense and security sectors, as well as reviewing recent regional developments.

The Field Marshal conveyed best wishes from the people, government, and armed forces of Pakistan to King Abdullah II and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to its deep and brotherly ties with Jordan.

King Abdullah appreciated the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces and their efforts for regional peace and stability, expressing his desire to further strengthen defense collaboration between the two countries.

Earlier, Field Marshal Asim Munir also met Jordan’s Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Ahmed.

The meeting took place at the General Headquarters in Amman, where the Army Chief received a warm welcome and was presented with a Guard of Honour by a contingent of the Jordanian Armed Forces.
