The government has announced that it will bear the expenses of medical treatment for two children who were repatriated from India without receiving medical assistance for cardiac disease.
A heartbreaking situation came to light a day ago when a video of a father went viral on social media, appealing for help to save his children's lives.
Shahid Ali, from Hyderabad, Sindh, stated in the video that his children were "punished for no reason" and were forced to leave India despite a severe need for medical aid.
"Indian doctors had already warned me that I was late in getting my children's surgeries," he said, explaining that the necessary treatment was not available in Pakistan.

Subsequently, the Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal took notice and announced that the government would provide medical and financial assistance to the children, stating that they would be treated in Pakistan and all expenses would be borne by the government.
The Minister further said that the Prime Minister had also offered to provide all support to them.
The children are expected to be treated at the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology and the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases in Rawalpindi. Moreover, the ministry has begun reaching out to hospitals in the country to explore further treatment options.
Following the Pahalgam attack in Indian occupied Kashmir, the Indian government revoked all visas and repatriated Pakistanis, regardless of whether they held medical or religious visas, linking the deadly attack to Pakistan.
