A man in Karachi was shot dead by robbers for resisting the theft of his new bike at the Banaras flyover. The victim, who was about to get married, had recently purchased his vehicle.

The incident occurred within the limits of Pirabad police station, where the victim resisted the robbers’ demand to hand over his new 125cc motorbike to them, ultimately leading him to a tragic demise.

The deceased hailed from Swat and was a resident of Metroville Block 5. He was the youngest of his siblings.

According to the relative, the family was busy preparing for his upcoming wedding, making his sudden loss even more devastating.

The relative added that the victim had recently purchased a new motorbike and had gone out for a ride with a friend when he was targeted by robbers.

Fear has gripped Karachi as robbers have targeted over 100 residents. According to data released by authorities, a staggering 111 individuals lost their lives in just 11 months of 2024 alone.

The data showed that 20 people were killed in resistance during robbery in January, 17 in February, 17 in March, 19 in April, 10 in June, 3 in July, 6 in August, 9 in September, 6 in October, and 4 in November.
