Gwadar receives heavy showers

Under the influence of a westerly wave, Gwadar, Balochistan, is receiving heavy showers on Thursday.

On Wednesday, the PMD forecast the likely entry of a westerly wave in Balochistan from January 04 (today).

In a video shared by PakWeather.com on social media platform X (Twitter), heavy rain can be witnessed. The rain has increased the coldness in the area.

The MET office said the Chagai, Quetta, Chaman, Ziarat, Mastung and Zhob districts of Balochistan are likely to receive rainfall on January 04 and 05, according to the weather office.

Thick fog will unleash intense cold and frosty weather in the region.

The Met Office has predicted the continuation of foggy conditions in the plains of Punjab, KP and upper Sindh.

Intense fog will prevail in Islamabad, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to persisting dry weather, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said.
