PTI founder and former prime minister Imran Khan has said that it is the duty of every judge to refrain from issuing remarks or decisions without hearing both sides, as judicial comments and rulings influence not only the case at hand but also future legal proceedings.

In his message to the nation while talking to lawyers, Imran Khan stated that judicial ethics demand impartiality during hearings and criticized Justice Musarrat Hilali for making allaeged unilateral remarks regarding the May 9 incident without considering both perspectives.

Khan highlighted that no transparent commission or judicial inquiry has been formed regarding the May 9 events, and the authorities have failed to present any concrete evidence or CCTV footage related to the incident in court.

The former premier reminded that the Supreme Court had already declared his arrest from the Islamabad High Court premises on May 9 as illegal.

Reflecting on the events of May 9, Khan accused the state of orchestrating a false-flag operation, claiming that his arrest was a pre-planned move to provoke public outrage, followed by infiltration to turn peaceful protests violent.

He lamented that thousands of PTI workers were pre-identified and arrested in the aftermath, with many still facing illegal detentions, enforced disappearances, and military custody abuses.

Khan reiterated his long-standing demand for a judicial commission to investigate both the May 9 and November 26 events, stating that such a commission would expose the truth and disprove the state’s false narrative.

He accused the judiciary for delaying decisions on PTI’s petitions, including one heard by a Lahore High Court bench under Justice Baqar Najafi, whose ruling has remained “reserved” for over a year and a half.

The former prime minister accused the country’s institutions of being controlled by invisible forces, asserting that even Adiala Jail is under the command of a military officer who disregards laws and prison regulations.

He condemned the restrictions on his meetings with visitors from across the country and the denial of contact with his children, calling it a blatant violation of his fundamental rights.
