A report revealed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan did not experience any illness during his year-long incarceration at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.

Express News shared details of the former prime minister’s imprisonment, stating that Imran Khan spent 1,000 hours in court proceedings over the span of 365 days.

More than 180 prison hearings were held in various cases involving the imprisoned politician during his time at Adiala Jail. He also held over 100 meetings with party leaders and lawyers while in detention.

The 71-year-old leader spent 90 days in solitary confinement over the course of the year.

Despite his extended imprisonment, he reportedly remained in good health, only complaining of a toothache during the 365 days.

Throughout his incarceration, Imran Khan spoke to journalists in prison more than 180 times and appeared via videolink in court proceedings on three occasions.

According to jail sources, he was convicted in three cases during this period. Imran Khan has not had a single private meeting with his wife, Bushra Bibi, during his time in jail.

Khan was first arrested from his Zaman Park residence in Lahore on August 25 following an Islamabad trial court's ruling that found him guilty of financial misconduct in the sale and purchase of state gifts related to the Toshakhana case.

On January 31, 2024, an Islamabad accountability court sentenced Khan and his wife to 14 years in prison in the Toshakhana case. However, on April 1, 2024, the Islamabad High Court suspended the sentence.

In June, Imran Khan was also acquitted of charges related to the leaking of state secrets in the cipher case.

On July 14, Khan and Bushra Bibi were rearrested in new Toshakhana case charges after the IHC suspended their conviction in the Iddat case.
