For the first time, the Pakistan Army has promoted a Christian woman officer, Helen Mary Robert, to the rank of Brigadier, sources said on Saturday.
According to the details, Brigadier Mary was promoted to a high rank in the Army Medical Corps.
Following the development, several social media users lauded the decision terming it a proud moment for the country.
Human Rights Activist Kapil Dev took to the microblogging site X to congratulate newly-promoted Brigadier Mary.
