Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, reaffirmed that Pakistan’s top national priority remains peace, despite a recent military conflict with India. Pakistan would neither be deterred nor coerced by aggression.

Speaking to Turkish news agency Anadolu, DG ISPR stated that “the truth is that India is not the US and Pakistan is not Afghanistan. India is not Israel, and Pakistan is not Palestine.”

Lt Gen Chaudhry said, sending a strong message to New Delhi, stating, “We will never bow down to Indian hegemony. The sooner they realise this, the better it will be for regional peace and the world.”

The remarks came in the wake of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, a large-scale military retaliation launched by Pakistan following “unprovoked Indian aggression” across the Line of Control (LoC) and within Pakistani territory.

According to ISPR, Pakistani forces conducted “precise and proportionate strikes” against Indian military targets in multiple regions.

The four-day conflict, which ended with a US-brokered ceasefire on May 10, resulted in casualties of civilains and forces personnel. The ISPR confirmed the deaths of 53 Pakistanis, including 13 military personnel and 40 civilians, during Indian strikes.

Pakistan's retaliatory attacks inflicted severe damage to Indian military installations. PAF shot down six Indian fighter jets, including three Rafales and a Mirage 2000. India's S-400 air defence system also suffered damage in a precision strike by Pakistan

He also stated India is supporting terrorism within Pakistan, adding,“There is a lot of evidence linking India to terrorist incidents in Pakistan. This evidence has been submitted to the International Court of Justice.”

Lt Gen Chaudhry underscored Pakistan’s desire for peace but warned that any further aggression would be met with a “swift and harsh” response.

“We never bow down to aggression or tyranny. If we are provoked or attacked, we’ll respond decisively. There should be no doubt about that,” he said.

He added that Pakistan was adhering to the ceasefire agreement of May 10 and hoped India would do the same to preserve regional stability.

Regarding the Indus Water Treaty, the DG ISPR warned India of long-term consequences if it attempted to block water flows to Pakistan under the Indus Waters Treaty.

“Nobody dares to stop water for 240 million people in this country. It is some madman’s act,” he said, adding, “If such an attempt is made, the consequences will be severe and long-lasting, not just for years, but for decades.”

He reiterated that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain professional and committed to upholding all international agreements and directives issued by the civilian government.
