Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian set to visit Pakistan on July 26

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is scheduled to visit Pakistan on July 26, in a move aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and regional cooperation following Israel's war on Tehran in June. 

The visit was confirmed during a telephone conversation on Monday between Pakistan’s Federal Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, and his Iranian counterpart, Sikander Momeni, where the leaders discussed the details of President Pezeshkian’s upcoming visit and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing diplomatic ties.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed optimism about the visit, stating, Iranian president’s visit will further deepen the friendly relations between the two brotherly countries.

In the same conversation, Minister Sikander Momeni expressed heartfelt condolences over the loss of lives and property caused by the recent devastating floods in Pakistan and offer Iran’s support to turned out of the situation, stating that Iran is always stand with the government and people of Pakistan during this difficult time, and the country is ready to provide all forms of assistance to the flood victims.

Momeni also conveyed special thanks to Minister Naqvi for his recent official visit to Iran, which helped lay the groundwork for continued collaboration between the two nations.

President Peshkeshian’s visit is coming at a critical time for both countries to maintain regional peace after the recent retaliatory actions.

Earlier, in April 2024, a month before he tragically died in a helicopter crash, late President Ibrahim Raisi visited Pakistan. He stopped by Lahore and Karachi as part of his itinerary.
