Karachi is bracing for intense heat during the Eidul Fitr celebration, where temperature is expected to soar to 41°C on the third day of the festivities, while the Pakistan Meteorologist Department (PMD) has warned of a series of scorching days.

According to PMD, during next 24 hours a hot and dry weather condition is anticipated in Karachi, with the potential range of mercury is expected between 39°C and 41°C. 

It added that winds are blowing from north direction at speed of eight kilometer per hour, containing 53% of humidity. 

Notably, the PMD officials had warned that the country would witnessed dry and hot weather on Eid holidays, with above than normal.

They forecasted an increase of 2°C to 4°C in temperature.

The Met Office advises people to drink plenty of water, limit time outdoors, and use water wisely to minimize the effects of the impending crisis.

The advisory shared by the PMD on its website indicates an increase in temperature on upcoming days, showcasing 39-41°C, 40-42°C, and 40-42°C on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, respectively.

The temperature readings across major Pakistani cities today: Islamabad (7°C), Lahore (10°C), Karachi (19°C), Peshawar (9°C), Quetta (1°C), Gilgit (0°C), Murree (3°C), and Muzaffarabad (8°C).

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the weather forecast predicts cloudy skies with chances of rain and snow in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, while Jammu will experience partly cloudy to cloudy and cold weather.
