A sessions court in Karachi on Tuesday indicted Anmol alias Pinky in a murder case registered at Baghdadi police station.
Jail authorities produced the accused before the District and Sessions Court South through a video link.
The court formally framed charges against Anmol, who pleaded not guilty and denied the allegations.
The court summoned prosecution witnesses on September 3 to record their statements.
According to the case record, police had removed the murder charges from the final charge sheet and instead included charges of qatl-bis-sabab (manslaughter).
The prosecution had recommended keeping the case pending until the collection of evidence under the qatl-bis-sabab charges.
