Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odho acknowledged police negligence in connection with Armaghan's alleged illegal activities, revealing that action has been taken against the officers involved.
Addressing a ceremony related to the installation of automatic number plate systems in patrolling mobiles, the city police chief said that the prime suspect in the Mustafa Amir murder case, Armaghan, had been arrested before, and his neighbors were afraid of him.
Acknowledging security lapses, Odho informed that departmental action had been initiated against those responsible for the negligence.

Odho further revealed that a thorough investigation exposed the involvement of "big names" in the case. However, after discussions with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Sindh IG Ghulam Nabi Memon, the police were determined to take strict action against them without granting amnesty, as they were involved in drug smuggling.
“We don’t want to turn addicted youth into criminals,” Odho said, vowing to dismantle the drug network operating across the city under the guise of commercial activities.
Javed Alam Odho sought the assistance of drug victims’ families to dismantle the network, saying, “Families of drug-addicted people should step forward to stop drug use.”
Regarding Armaghan’s father’s ignorance about his drug business, Odho said, “How is it possible that the drug earnings are being credited to the account of the father's manager, and the father is not even aware of it?”

The police chief urged public cooperation to eradicate the drug network that came to light following Mustafa Amir’s murder. Amir was allegedly killed and burned by Armaghan.
Following an investigation into the case, the police uncovered a large-scale drug smuggling network. Renowned actor Sajid Hasan’s son, Sahir Hasan, was allegedly a key figure in the case, running a business by cultivating hashish in his house.
