Minor girl rescued after falling into open manhole in Lahore

A minor girl fell into an open manhole in the Mehmood Booti area of Lahore.

According to media reports, residents acted swiftly and managed to rescue the child alive from the manhole through self-help efforts before emergency teams arrived.

Locals said the manhole had remained uncovered despite repeated complaints to the authorities. Residents have demanded strict action against those responsible for failing to address the issue.

Citizens also called for all open manholes across the area to be sealed immediately to prevent similar incidents in the future, while urging authorities to identify negligent officials and initiate departmental action.
