“Mujhe kyun nikala”: NA echoes with laughter during Marwat's speech

After his ouster from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Sher Afzal Marwat took a jab at his party in the National Assembly saying, “Mujhe Kyun Nikala” (Why was I removed?). His remarks sparked laughter among parliamentarians in the lower house.
During a Q&A session, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq invited Marwat to comment on the merger of mobile companies. However, instead of addressing the topic, Marwat responded, “My only question right now is to my own people, why was I removed?”
Government lawmakers also thumped their desks upon Marwat’s arrival in the National Assembly following his dismissal from PTI.

Former PTI leader will also be asked to resign as a member of the National Assembly after his basic membership is terminated.
As per sources, Sher Afzal Marwat was expelled for repeatedly violating party discipline. Sher Afzal Marwat was earlier given a show cause notice for making statements against the party.
PTI founder had expressed his displeasure towards Sher Afzal for his unnecessary speech in the Swabi rally on February 8.

PTI eaders had also complained to Imran Khan about Sher Afzal Marwat's role in the Swabi rally.
Earlier, Imran Khan had prohibited party leader Sher Afzal Marwat from serving as his defense attorney.
As per reports, Imran Khan communicated to both the prison authorities and the court that Sher Afzal Marwat does not represent him legally and has instructed the prison administration to deny him access to the facility.
