The prime suspect in the Mustafa murder case, Armughan, fainted in the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) during the proceedings on Tuesday. He was referred to the ATC by the Sindh High Court (SHC) to address the police's petition for his physical remand.
Despite fainting during the hearing on the police petition, Armaghan was remanded to police custody for four days.
The investigating officer told the court that the accused should be remanded in order to recover the murder weapon.
On the court’s inquiry, the accused claimed that he was beaten by the police at the time of his arrest.
Earlier, the SHC had pronounced its reserved verdict on all four petitions and approved the remand of the accused, Armughan. Additionally, the court referred the physical remand plea to an anti-terrorism court.

The SHC noted that the order had been tampered with by using a white concealer to modify the police remand of the accused into judicial custody, which prevented the police from conducting their investigation.
The SHC judge heard the police petition seeking approval for Armughan’s remand in Mustafa Amir’s murder case.
During further proceedings, the Prosecutor General Sindh informed the court that police had recovered several laptops and firearms from the accused’s house.
