The National Assembly of Pakistan has unanimously passed a resolution condemning what it described as the Indian government's “mala fide campaign” aimed at maligning Pakistan in the wake of the recent Pahalgam attack, which resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists.
The resolution, introduced by PML-N lawmaker Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, firmly rejected what it called “baseless and politically motivated” efforts to associate Pakistan with the April 22 incident in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The move comes amid escalating tensions and a flurry of diplomatic exchanges between the two countries.
It is worth mentioning that Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry briefed political leaders on the Pakistan-India situation on Sunday.
According to sources, during the in-camera session, the ISPR DG informed political leaders about the preparedness of the Pakistan Army, while the information minister briefed them on the government's diplomatic efforts.
