NAB 'raids' Bahria Town Karachi, seizes vehicles

Karachi: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) reportedly conducted another raid at Bahria Town Karachi, seizing several vehicles belonging to the housing society.

As per reports quoting sources, the vehicles of the BTK have been taken into NAB custody and are being shifted to the bureau's office.

A reference is currently under trial regarding the illegal allotment of 17,000 acres of land to Bahria Town.

A few months ago, NAB had also frozen several commercial properties of Bahria Town Karachi.

Sources suggest that Bahria Town had recently been creating an impression that a deal was underway.

However, NAB sources have clarified that no deal has been made with Bahria Town and that all actions are being taken strictly in accordance with the law.

Last year, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team raided Bahria Town headquarters in Islamabad to obtain the land documents of Al-Qadir University.

The NAB team searched the corporate office of Bahria Town, the sources privy to the development said. They added that the corruption watchdog searched different parts of the Bahria Town headquarters.

The NAB team is searching the offices of Bahria Town owner Malik Riaz and other high officials. The sources said that the records in Bahria Town head office were seized by the NAB team.
