A horrific shooting in Narowal claimed lives of at least three individuals and wounded one. The victims were attacked while performing Tarawih prayers. The violence allegedly stemmed from a longstanding personal feud between brothers.

The police stated that the tragic incident unfolded in the Haveli Inamullah Butt area of Narowal, where a longstanding dispute between brothers over the ownership of a wagon base escalated into violence.

Regional Police Officer Tayyab Hafeez Cheema disclosed that brothers Imran (deceased) and Zaman (suspect) had been estranged due to the dispute that resulted in the deadly shooting. 

Accordng to RPO Cheema, further revealed that the deceased, Imran, had been nominated in eight cases registered against him, while his brother, Zaman, had been booked in nine separate cases.

The suspect responsible for killing Imran hailed from Waziristan, he added.

Following the incident, authorities sealed off the wagon base. Preventive measures were taken against the parties involved to prevent further illicit activities.

Furthermore, three special teams were constituted to track down and apprehend the suspect.

Earlier, in July 2024, a man was allegedly burnt to death in Alipur, Multan, over a land dispute.

According to the reports, four suspects tied up 18-year-old Ehsan Ullah to a tree, doused him with petrol, and set him on fire. Despite efforts to save him, Ehsan Ullah succumbed to his injuries at Nishtar Medical Hospital in Multan.
