PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif had demanded accountability of judges who 'ruined' Pakistan.

Sharif was speaking at PML-N Central Working Committee (CWC) in Lahore.

He recalled that after taking office in 2013, his first act was to visit Imran Khan in Banigala to propose working together for the nation’s benefit. Khan agreed, according to Sharif, and requested the construction of a road to his house, which Sharif had completed in 15 days.

However, subsequent events did not align with their agreement. Sharif claimed that Khan, along with PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Maulana Tahirul Qadri, and former spy chief General Zaheerul Islam, conspired in London, leading to protests upon Khan's return to Pakistan.

Sharif expressed his bewilderment over the sudden shift, stating that he should have been informed about any issues or reservations the PTI had.

“I visit you and you stab me in the back by assuring cooperation and then you begin protests in Islamabad’s D-Chowk?” he questioned.

Sharif also mentioned he refused his cabinet's suggestion to use police force against the protests, yet his government still managed to secure the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project.

Highlighting his ouster, Sharif criticized the judiciary, claiming that “three people sit down and disqualify a prime minister representing 250 million people for life.” He argued that in no other country can judges remove a prime minister or president over a minor issue like not taking a salary from his son, and he demanded accountability for this action.

Sharif also referenced the early resignations of former Supreme Court judges Ijazul Ahsan and Mazahar Naqvi, suggesting they should be questioned about their premature exits and that legal action should be taken against Naqvi for alleged financial misconduct. He called for accountability for those he believes have harmed Pakistan.
