The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Faisalabad has arrested three men for uploading a video on social media that allegedly contained abusive and inappropriate language against Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
According to an NCCIA spokesperson, the suspects, residents of Sargodha, had shared the video online targeting the chief minister with objectionable remarks.
An FIR was registered against the three men, and they were apprehended in a raid at the General Bus Stand following a tip-off about their presence.
Officias also confirmed that their mobile phones were seized as part of the investigation.
In January this year, police in Pakpattan had arrested a man under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 for allegedly allowing a derogatory post about Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to remain in a WhatsApp group.
