The Pakistan Army has reaffirmed its commitment to counter terrorism and destabilisation efforts with full force, particularly in Balochistan, during the 268th Corps Commanders’ Conference held under the leadership of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.

According to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the forum offered prayers for martyrs and paid tribute to the sacrifices of armed forces personnel, law enforcement agencies, and civilians.

The conference reviewed the prevailing regional and internal security situation, as well as national security challenges.

The participants reiterated their resolve to eliminate terrorism without discrimination and to decisively respond to any attempts to destabilise the country.

The forum expressed strong determination to ensure peace in Balochistan and prevent any disruption to its stability and development.

The military leadership also condemned foreign-sponsored efforts aimed at sowing unrest, stating that such plots have been fully exposed and will not be tolerated.

The forum stressed the need for swift and effective implementation of the “Azm-e-Istehkam” strategy under the National Action Plan, highlighting the importance of a unified national approach against terrorism with public support.

COAS General Munir lauded the launch of District Liaison Committees across Pakistan and urged all institutions to ensure seamless cooperation for NAP’s enforcement.

He reiterated the army’s support to the government and law enforcement agencies in combating terror financing, which is often linked to illegal activities.

The conference expressed deep concern over human rights violations in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and condemned India’s unprovoked ceasefire violations along the Line of Control.

The forum reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering diplomatic, political, and moral support for the Kashmiri people.

The military also expressed complete solidarity with the Palestinian people and strongly condemned the grave human rights violations and war crimes in Gaza, vowing continued support on all fronts.

Concluding the session, General Munir instructed field commanders to maintain high standards of operational preparedness and professional competence, emphasising rigorous training for optimum combat readiness.
