Senator Dinesh Kumar, elected to the minority seat in the Senate, has a voice against the interest-based economy system of Pakistan.
During his budget speech in Senate, he called the government hypocritical by reminding them of Allah's command regarding interest-based transactions.
Dinesh Kumar said that although he hasn't studied Holy Quran extensively, but knows that interest-based transactions are forbidden and considered a war with Allah.
He said that despite the teachings of the Quran, the federal government is giving loans to provinces with interest. As a non-Muslim, he said, he feels ashamed of this hypocrisy.
Senator Dinesh Kumar expressed his anger over the absence of ministers and government representatives in the House, stating that "there is no minister or government member present in this House and everyone here is lying."
Senator Dinesh Kumar stated that interest-based transactions and the absence of government ministers in the House are a disgrace for us because we are recklessly using public funds.
He further said that they will not give any suggestions regarding the budget because the government will not act on them, and if their suggestions are not implemented, he will not return to the House.
