A recent survey has revealed that nearly a third of the country's population is concerned about the expanding role of social media in their daily lives.
The survey, conducted by Gallup Pakistan, indicated that almost 31 percent Pakistanis are worried about the growing influence of social media in their lives.
On the other hand, 38 percent respondents disagreed, saying that social media has no significant impact on their lives.
In comparison to global sentiments, Pakistanis appear less concerned about social media's dominance.
The survey, which polled individuals from 39 countries, revealed that 50 percent of global respondents feel social media controls their lives.
Notably, the Middle East region expressed higher concerns, with 57 percent of respondents disturbed by social media's increasing interference.
Pakistan's relatively lower concern rate may be attributed to various factors, including demographics, online habits, and cultural context.
The survey's outcomes provide valuable insights into the country's perception of social media's role in daily life.
