More than 31,000 pilgrims reached Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj, as of now, according to Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Almost 126 flights transported hundreds of thousands of pilgrims to Madina.

“From 126 Hajj flights, at least 31,057 government-sponsored pilgrims reached Saudi Arabia. Today, 2,450 more pilgrims will reach Madina from 12 flights,” the statement issued by the ministry read.

“Over 2,000 pilgrims under a private scheme have arrived in the Kingdom,” it stated.

Pakistan has a Hajj quota of 179,210 pilgrims; of them, 63,805 will perform Hajj rituals under the government's scheme.

However, the special Hajj flight from Islamabad to Jeddah will start operating tomorrow.

The government deployed 156 people to provide medical assistance to pilgrims, while 336 were responsible for transport, food, and accommodation for the pilgrims.
