Pakistan Corps Commanders condemn attacks on Saudi Arabia, warn of rising regional tensions

The Corps Commanders’ Conference stated that Iran’s attacks on Saudi Arabia are undermining sincere efforts to resolve the conflict through peaceful means.
According to ISPR, the 274th Corps Commanders’ Conference was held under the chairmanship of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
The forum offered prayers for the armed forces, law enforcement personnel, and those who sacrificed their lives in defence of the homeland, paying tribute to the unparalleled sacrifices of the martyrs.
ISPR said the forum strongly condemned the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia’s petrochemical and industrial complexes and expressed concern, stating that Iran’s attacks are damaging genuine efforts to resolve the conflict peacefully.
It noted that despite serious provocations, Saudi Arabia has so far shown restraint and a cautious approach, which has helped pave the way for mediation and a diplomatic solution.
According to ISPR, the Corps Commanders said the attacks on Saudi Arabia represent unnecessary escalation, and such actions and unjustified aggression severely undermine ongoing peace efforts and a conducive environment.
ISPR added that the Chief of Defence Forces appreciated the unwavering professionalism of the armed forces.
The Army Chief commended their operational performance and steadfastness in intelligence-based counterterrorism operations for the defence of the country.
