Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, has said that during the war against India, God granted Pakistan honor and victory.
He stated that Pakistan is a peace-loving nation, but anyone who imposes war on it will be answered in the same manner as they were in May.
Speaking informally during a luncheon hosted at the Presidency in honor of the King of Jordan, Field Marshal Asim Munir remarked that when a Muslim places his trust in God, even the dust he throws at the enemy becomes a missile. “I perform my duties in accordance with God’s command,” he added.
He reiterated that God elevated Pakistan during its war with India and that Pakistan seeks peace, yet will respond firmly if war is forced upon it—just as it did in May.
The Field Marshal expressed gratitude to God for granting victory, saying that this success was purely by His will.
While reflecting on the Battle of Uhud, he also quoted verses from the Holy Quran.
The Jordanian King Abdullah II is currently in Pakistan on a official visit at the invitation of PM Shehbaz Sharif.
