Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan's commitment to providing moral, diplomatic, and political support to the Palestinian people, who are facing Israeli atrocities and aggression.

In a message on Palestine Solidarity Day, PM Sharif said that Pakistan will continue to stand by the people of Gaza until an independent Palestinian state is established with Bayt al-Maqdis (Masjid Al-Aqsa) as its capital.

The premier noted that the whole nation is observing Solidarity Day to support the Palestinian people, who have been facing a new wave of Israeli atrocities since October 7, 2023.

He criticised Israel for making a mockery of world powers, international organisations, Security Council resolutions, and the International Court of Justice.

The Prime Minister highlighted the dire situation in Gaza, where Palestinians are facing intense bombardment, hunger, and thirst.

PM Shehbaz emphasised that Israeli terrorism has been ongoing for seven decades and has spread beyond Gaza and Palestine to other countries in the region.

He assured that the hearts of the Pakistani people beat with their Palestinian brothers and sisters.

To demonstrate Pakistan's solidarity, Mr PM will host an all-party conference to raise voices against the ongoing persecution of Palestinians in Gaza.

A committee consisting of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Sherry Rehman, Khawaja Saad Rafique, and Nayyar Hussain Bukhari has been formed to organise the conference.

Public gatherings and seminars will be held across the country to express solidarity with the Palestinians and protest against Israeli aggression.

Pakistan has consistently reiterated its commitment to a future where an independent Palestinian state exists within the pre-1967 borders, with Al Quds al-Sharif as its capital.

The ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza since October 7 has resulted in approximately 42,000 killed, over 96,000 injured, and more than 10,000 people missing.
