The Pakistan Navy has successfully held live firing of an FM-90 (N) Extended Range Surface-to-Air Missile in the Arabian Sea.

After the successful demonstration of the missile, the Pakistan Navy confirmed its operational readiness and combat capabilities in times of need. 

During this exercise, highly maneuverable aerial targets were engaged by a Pakistan Navy warship, proving its air-defence system to be highly competitive.

Rear Admiral Abdul Munib, Commander of the Pakistan Fleet was also on board during the missile demonstration. The ISPR reported, that after the exercise, he praised the officers and sailors for their professionalism, dedication and readiness for any unforeseen events.

Rear Admiral Munib also commended Pakistan Navy’s unwavering efforts in providing seaward protection. He also pointed out the strategic importance of such drills in strengthening maritime security. 

This exercise highlights Pakistan Navy’s growing capability to respond effectively to airborne threats in their domain and is also an integral part of ongoing efforts to showcase combat readiness.
