Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced discounts on fares for Saudi Arabia-bound flights.
A notification issued by the national carrier stated that passengers from various cities of Pakistan could enjoy a 30 percent discount on fares of flights bound for Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh, Dammam, and Al-Qasim.
A spokesperson said the passengers could also avail of discounted offers during Eid-ul-Adha holidays from 10 to 18 June.
In May, the airline had announced a 20% discount for students travelling from China to Pakistan, making air travel more affordable for students.
Earlier, PIA had cut the ticket price for Umrah pilgrims, Saudi residents, visa holders and work visa holders in April.
The national flag carrier had reduced 30 percent fare for individuals travelling to Jeddah and Madina. It had reduced Umrah fare by Rs47,000 to Rs103,000.
Similarly, the round-trip Umrah fare from Karachi to Saudi Arabia was reduced to Rs95,000 from Rs125,000.
However, all initiative aims to support passengers who need to travel outside the country with foreign residence evidence, work visas, visit visas and study visas.
