PM Shehbaz, Pakistan military played key role in Iran-Israel ceasefire: Mohsin Naqvi

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan’s political and military leadership played a key role in facilitating the Iran-Israel ceasefire, and urged the nation to feel proud and grateful for their efforts.
Speaking at a press conference alongside religious scholars and Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Naqvi said, “This ceasefire between Iran and Israel is a success," adding that prime minister Shehbaz Sharif and the military leadership's instrumental efforts made the ceasefrie possbile.
"I don’t want to go into further details, but every Pakistani should be proud,” Naqvi sais.
He also addressed recent conflict with India, saying that with Allah’s help, Pakistan achieved victory. According to Naqvi, missiles fired by India failed to hit their targets, and Pakistan ensured no Indian civilians were harmed in its retaliatory actions.

Mohsin Naqvi said that when Pakistan fired missiles towards India, there was a difference in the firing of one of the missiles. We were worried that this missile would fall on the population. With help from Allah, the same missile hit India's largest oil depot.
Naqvi further revealed that India had targeted a Pakistani airbase where aircraft and troops were stationed, and a massive loss was expected. However, none of the missiles struck the base, instead landing nearby without causing damage.
Commenting on internal security, the Interior Minister emphasized the need to engage religious scholars in regions affected by terrorism, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He stressed that terrorism cannot be eradicated without the support of local communities.
