PM Shehbaz decides to raise Rangers, FC salaries by Rs31,810 per month

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to increase the salaries of Rangers and Frontier Corps (FC) by Rs31,810, sources said on Thursday.
According to sources, the premier has permitted the Ministry of Finance to increase the salaries of civil armed forces.
The maximum appraisal would be 56 percent or Rs31,810 per month, however, it would be revised as per their rank.
The Finance department has also approved the revised basic pay scale of 2024 for the Civil Armed Forces.
Sources said the decision of increment was taken for Punjab Rangers, Sindh Rangers, FC North and FC South Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FC South Balochistan, Pakistan Coast Guards, Gilgit Baltistan Scouts and Frontier Constabulary.
On the other hand, the government is also mulling to raise the salaries of public sector employees by 15-20 percent in the upcoming fiscal year budget 2024-25.
Sources said that the ministry proposed an increase of Rs40,000 to Rs60,000 in the monetisation policy of the bureaucracy.
Sources added that the monetisation policy for government officers up to Grade 20 would be increased by Rs65,000 to Rs105,000.
