PM Shehbaz directs establishment of Danish school, special economic zone in Karachi

The federal government has approved the establishment of an economic zone in Karachi along with the construction of two Danish schools in Sindh, government officials said on Monday.

In a statement, the Government of Pakistan’s spokesperson for Sindh, Barrister Raja Khaliq-uz-Zaman Ansari, said the initiatives were part of the federal government’s plans to promote economic and educational development in the province.

According to the spokesperson, one Danish school will be constructed in Tando Muhammad Khan, while the second will be established in Gadap Malir, Karachi, on the special directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

He said the schools would be equipped with modern educational facilities and aim to provide quality education, particularly to children from underprivileged and low-income areas.

The spokesperson further stated that the federal government is planning to set up an economic zone in Karachi’s Malir district. He said the project is expected to boost industrial activity, create new employment opportunities and help strengthen the local economy.

Barrister Ansari said the federal government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is taking practical steps to support Sindh’s development, ensure better prospects for the youth and promote economic self-reliance.

He added that the education and industrial projects are expected to contribute not only to Sindh’s development but also to national economic growth.

He also said the federal government stands with the people of Sindh and is implementing development projects across the province without discrimination, with the aim of providing relief and improving living standards.
