Police seek more time to file charge-sheet against Pinky in two cases

A judicial magistrate in Karachi has granted the investigation officer time until June 15 to submit charge sheets in two cases registered against alleged drug queenpin Anmol alias Pinky pertaining to drugs and illegal weapons case.

During the hearing, the investigation officer informed the court that the probe was still underway and sought more time to complete the investigation.

The officer told the court that three co-accused — Sohail, Zeeshan and Sameer — had been arrested in the narcotics case. He added that partial bank account records of the suspects had been received and were being examined.

According to the investigation officer, the chemical analysis report of the drugs allegedly recovered from the accused has not yet been received. Similarly, forensic reports of mobile phones seized from the co-accused are still awaited from the Punjab Forensic Science Agency.

The court was further informed that the inspection report of the weapon allegedly recovered from the accused, as well as records from the Sindh Home Department, have yet to be received.

Following the request, the court granted the investigation officer time until June 15 to submit the challans in both cases.
