PTI chairman condemns harassment of Shahzeb Khanzada abroad

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has strongly condemned the harassment of senior journalist Shahzeb Khanzada.

Speaking to Geo News, Barrister Gohar termed the incident “deeply regrettable” and said it was unfortunate that Shahzeb Khanzada was harassed while he was abroad with his wife.

Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar also condemned the incident on social media platform X.

He said those who share journalists’ names and addresses online and incite violence—just as threats were issued after jumping into journalist Muzammil’s house—must be held accountable.

He added that the harassment faced by Shahzeb Khanzada was shameful and assured that the state would identify the individual involved.

“It is unacceptable for anyone to be harassed while traveling with their family,” he said.

A day earlier, senior anchor and host of Geo News’ program “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Saath” was confronted by a man in a foreign shopping mall, where he and his wife were subjected to inappropriate behavior and baseless accusations.
