Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has rejected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s offer for negotiations.

PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram said the government’s approach reflects political panic and a lack of strategic thinking. He added that the government is using the offer as a tactic to mislead the public.

Sheikh Waqas Akram stated that demanding an apology from PTI shows the government’s political anxiety and intellectual bankruptcy. He urged that discussions should not come with preconditions.

He suggested that the government could engage with the Pakistan Constitutional Protection Movement, as well as leaders such as Mehmood Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, to find solutions to the current crises.

Sheikh Waqas Akram made it clear that PTI will not participate in talks under any circumstances, describing Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s offer as hypocritical and contradictory.

Last week, during a federal cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif once again invited PTI for negotiations.

He said the party’s founder and his associates are seeking dialogue, adding that talks could only take place on legitimate demands and that blackmail under the guise of negotiations would not be tolerated.
