Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Ali Amin Gandapur said that he wants to meet Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir and DG Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Nadeem Anjum to initiate a round of reconciliation talks.
He made the remarks after meeting party founder Imran Khan at Adiala jail to discuss newly-launched military operation against terrorists, named Azm-e-Istehkam.
"When Imran Khan was prime minister, Pakistan had witnessed a decrease in terrorism," the PTI stalwart said.
"It is important to take the parliament into confidence on this matter, we have suffered a lot economically, personally and financially, till today our people have not received the money that they should have received... if they want to do anything like that [to initiate operation], then when the plan comes out, it will be discussed, but currently there is no policy," the KP CM added.
CM Gandapur lashed out at the then Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for not visiting Afghanistan during his tenure.
"They don't care about the people of Pakistan and our security agencies," Gandapur claimed.
The PTI leader came down hard on former army chief Gen (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa for allegedly "ousting the PTI government to achieve his notorious agendas".
"Where is Bajwa now? He is out of Pakistan, he doesn't want to come back, but the people of Pakistan are facing the consequences," CM Gandapur alleged.
Speaking about the negotiations with the establishment, Gandapur said that the former prime minister "is ready to sit on a table to talk".
"I want to meet Army Chief and DG ISI," he said adding that the talks on operation Azm-e-Istehkam will be held during the meeting.
