The Punjab School Education Department has issued a revised notification regarding the winter vacation schedule for schools across the province.
According to the updated notice, winter holidays will now begin on December 23, 2024, instead of the previously announced date of December 20.
As a result, the holiday period has been extended by three days. Schools will remain closed until January 10, 2025, with classes set to resume on January 13, 2025.
This adjustment follows an earlier notification that had outlined the winter break lasting 24 days, from December 20 to January 10, for all public and private schools in Punjab.
In Murree, the winter vacation dates remain unchanged due to the region’s colder climate.
Schools in Murree will observe winter holidays from December 20, 2024, until February 28, 2025, in response to the severe weather conditions, ensuring the safety of students.
Additionally, the education department reminded all schools that face masks are mandatory on school premises, as part of health and safety measures to protect students, staff, and families in light of ongoing public health concerns. Schools have been urged to strictly adhere to these protocols.
