A video of a Punjab police officer holding a tray full of currency notes at a dance party hosted by TikToker Kashif Zameer went viral, drawing criticism over the police allegedly providing protocol to a man with a known criminal record.

In the widely circulated clip, Kashif Zameer can be seen showering currency notes on a woman, while a uniformed police officer stands nearby, holding a tray containing more money.

The video sparked outrage on social media, with users questioning the police's conduct and accusing the officer of serving someone accused of criminal activity.

“Punjab Police should tell us—this officer is paid from our taxes. Is he paid to hold a tray of money for a TikToker?” one user wrote on X.

“Why is there police protocol for someone with a criminal record?” another comment read.

In 2021, TikToker Kashif Zameer Chaudhry was arrested at the request of renowned Turkish actor Engin Altan (best known for his role as ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ in the popular drama series Ertugrul) for alleged fraud and defamation.

Engin Altan stated in his complaint that he learned through Pakistani media reports, that Kashif Zameer had allegedly solicited substantial amounts of money from Pakistani business entities by falsely claiming he could facilitate meetings with the Turkish actor.

Many users tagged Punjab Police and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s official accounts, demanding immediate action against the officer for allegedly bringing disrepute to the police force and misusing his official position.

Some also pointed out the inconsistency in the police's behavior, noting that a recent dance party in Kasur was raided by police and treated as a serious offense. They questioned why similar action was not taken against Kashif Zameer’s event.
