Punjab initiates registration for providing 20,000 bikes to students on easy installment

The Punjab government has initiated a registration process for providing 20,000 bikes including 19,000 on petrol and 1,000 electric for the students on easy installment plans. 

The announcement was made through the official X handle of PML-N. 

"Punjab CM @MaryamNSharif delivering on promises at a lightning speed! 20,000 bikes for students, including 19,000 petrol and 1,000 electric bikes. Register at http://bikes.punjab.gov.pk by April 29!," the post read. 

Terming the step a revolutionary initiative for students, the CM said that these bikes would be provided to students under the Chief Minister’s Youth Initiative scheme.

She said 19,000 petrol and 1,000 electric bikes would be given to students free of interest in monthly installments, adding that the monthly installment of petrol bike would be Rs 5000, whereas it would be less than Rs 10,000 for the e-bike.
