Resolution of all issues with India lies through Kashmir: Bilawal Bhutto

Following India’s aggression and Pakistan’s subsequent retaliatory measures, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, head of the diplomatic delegation appointed by the Prime Minister to highlight Pakistan’s stance globally, asserted that Pakistan is a responsible nation, and the resolution of all disputes with India must pass through Kashmir.

Bilawal said that Pakistan has always advocated resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy, consistently promoting the message of peace.

He reiterated that Pakistan, as a responsible nuclear state, has made it clear that any attempt to block its water supply would be considered an act of war.

He warned that India cannot unilaterally suspend or terminate the Indus Waters Treaty, underscoring that water is Pakistan’s essential right, and there will be no compromise on this issue.

The foreign minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire for dialogue with India on all outstanding matters, particularly Kashmir, which he described as the core of all regional disputes. He also accused India of spreading misinformation and disinformation to distort facts.

Bilawal once again praised former US President Donald Trump’s role in helping de-escalate tensions between the two countries, describing his efforts in facilitating the ceasefire as commendable.

Addressing recent events, Bilawal mentioned that Pakistan had offered an impartial investigation into the Pahalgam incident, but India rejected the proposal.

He also highlighted the absence of an effective mechanism to resolve disputes between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, underlining the urgency for diplomatic engagement to prevent escalation.
