Having failed to meet Sana Yousaf on her birthday, accused Umar Hayat reappeared at the slain influencer's home on June 2. According to eyewitnesses and close sources, Sana warned Hayat to leave due to his aggressive behavior.
Suspect Umar Hayat was arrested on Tuesday after a thorough investigation was initiated at the Sumbal police station, based on a complaint filed by Yousaf's mother.
The investigation revealed that 22-year-old Hayat from Faisalabad, repeatedly made advances to Sana on her social media account, but she consistently rejected him. This repeated rejection prompted Hayat to kill Yousaf.

The police utilised CCTV footage and modern technology to track down the accused.
According to the police, Yousaf again refused to meet Hayat and told him to leave. She had also warned him about the CCTV cameras recording him.
"You are getting angry, leave this place. There are CCTV cameras, go away," she reportedly told Hayat after which he fired two bullets at Sana.
The accused, after killing Yousaf, also snatched her iPhone to remove any traces that could be used by authorities.
With Umar Hayat detained, police continue their investigation. Sanay Yousaf's family and the public are unified in their demand for strict punishment for the accused, ensuring justice is served
